Jared Hobson joined Syntrinsic in December 2021 as a Senior Research Analyst. He serves on Syntrinsic’s Investment Committee and focuses on researching domestic and international equity managers, conducting economic and market research, and contributing to the development of model portfolios. He was attracted to Syntrinsic’s mission of serving nonprofit clients, its high-quality investment philosophy, and the firm’s collaborative culture.

Jared has over 20 years of experience in the public equities market. Previously, he was an Assistant Portfolio Manager at RK Capital Management in Denver where he analyzed small and mid-cap companies in conjunction with managing long-only and long/short portfolios. Prior to that, Jared spent almost a decade in Massachusetts in buy-side equity research after beginning his investment career as an analyst at Founders Asset Management in Denver.

A native of Wisconsin, Jared earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of Wisconsin and his MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. He is a CFA charter holder. Jared serves on the board of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.

Jared enjoys exploring Colorado with his wife and two daughters, whether it be on long hikes with the dogs, Jeep off-roading, or skiing.
