Eli Davidoff works as a Research Analyst on Syntrinsic’s research team. In this role, he serves on the firm’s Investment Committee and supports the Senior Research Analysts in gathering and synthesizing data used for asset allocation and performance analysis in client investment portfolios.
Eli recently graduated from the University of Denver with a dual major in Finance and Marketing and has held intern positions with UBS Financial Services and Ovation Senior Investments. He worked as a Data Analyst and Wealth Strategies Associate at UBS with the New Bridge Wealth Management Branch, creating a CRM database to build and strengthen client relationships. At Ovation, he worked as a Real Estate Acquisition Data Analyst, utilizing census data and various third-party databases to improve, streamline and analyze markets for the development of their assets. He has a deep passion for quantitative analytical research and the process of employing data to “tell a story”.
Eli was consistently on the Dean’s List at the University of Denver and won an entrepreneurship challenge his freshman year for producing an application that taught users how to properly recycle items with regard to their respective waste classification. During his senior year, he was selected through an extremely competitive selection process to be an equity research analyst for the Marsico Investment Fund, a student-managed fund of $2.2 Million of the University of Denver’s endowment. This portfolio focused on investing in undervalued equities for long-term capital growth through the generation of risk-adjusted returns. He was tasked with covering the Energy and Utilities sector for six months, delivering two sector presentations and two equity selection presentations over this period. He has also recently completed his PCEP (Python Entry Level Programmer) certification and plans to begin studying for the CFA Level I Exam.
Outside of work, Eli loves to be outdoors, whether it be skiing at Copper Mountain’s infamous Woodward terrain park in the winter or floating down Clear Creek in Golden, Colorado on a hot sunny day in the summer. He also enjoys frequenting concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
