Economic data often takes weeks or even months to be released. That time-lag makes it difficult to track changes in the economy during a crisis such as COVID-19. Our colleagues at Bloomberg developed a high-frequency tracker based on information that updates weekly. We have taken their concept, added a few of our own elements, and are making it available here to help all of us make better sense of the dramatic changes underway in our society.
